I found admiral great until I made a claim

When reporting a claim the young man on the phone took all my details registered the claim all very professional and asked me was there any other damage to my vehicle other than the claim. I responded honestly and said yes i've bumped the tail gate on my truck on a tree stump before I took out this policy and am paying for that repair myself as I did not want to claim. The next day I had a premium increase of £395.00, 68% increase for not notifying of an incident. Admiral will not move on this ( I asked so you penalise a customer for being honest) its policy So what happens if you go to a supermarket and someone dings your door ? or you catch your bumper or wheel in a car park? all notifiable. Admirals answer Absolutely!!! I have two vehicles with Admiral and could place 3 others. If I treated my customers how Admiral treat theirs I would be out of business. Needless to say at renewal I wont be renewing with them. Poor customer service...……..If your taking out vehicle insurance with Admiral Be Aware. P.S. because it took Admiral a week to explain the £395.00 increase they offered a £20.00 cash back for poor communication. Reviewed on: 3rd September 2018
