Review of the Admiral, Car insurance:

I only just started my insurance with admiral and haven't had an accident or something like that yet. I am not British but from another EU country and only just moved to the UK, so I can only compare to practices in that country. When looking for an insurance for my car and comparing different companies, i liked at admirals the calculator on the website and the website chat. The whole process was easy. however, at the end of the process I got very confused and annoyed by all the extra offers on the side. It reminded me of Ryan Air and felt unprofessional and not classy at all. Also, only being able to pay by UK debit transfer felt very oldschool, as I am used to just transfer money via cradit card, paypall and/or EU account. Furthermore, I think talking money for changing the address makes me question Admiral's reliability as i directly thought: "really, they need this kind of money. I wonder what they will be like when I need money from them.". Also, I do not understand why, if Admiral already take money from me for changing the address, but I move into a street, where the policies should be cheaper, why don't Admiral decrease the policy then as well. That would be fair. So, to me at least, it feels like Admiral looks like a good price at the beginning, but I seriously worry about their fairness, reliability and customer-orientation, when it comes to an event where I have to make a claim.
