My first UK bank and the best so far

When I first came to UK, no other bank would open an account for me but Monzo did. They kept getting better and better as they grew. Their customer service is beyond competition, their vulnerable customers team genuinely cares (I happened to get acquainted in a random event) and their technical solutions keep convincing me to stay Reviewed on: 18th March 2025

Innovative, helpful, flexible and socially responsible

Monzo was the bank of choice when I came to UK. I had a job, was living in an Airbnb but no bank would have me without a fixed abode. No landlord would have me without payslips. My job could not pay me without a bank account. It was a catch 22 until I heard about Monzo. 5+ years later I have a great career, stable finances and I'm settled in the country, all thanks to Monzon's help and flexibility. Oh and they care about social impact too, which I know because I was part of a panel of theirs to brainstorm together on how to help customers in domestic abuse situations.
