My elderly parents broke down near Gillingham in Kent yesterday. After initially getting help they then waited over six hours before someone could tow them away. Throughout this time they regularly contact Green Flag who assured them that help was nearby. They were in fact lied to. On one occasion they discovered that the help that was ‘nearby’ was in fact in Essex. The other side of the Thames crossing. Special mention needs to be made of Aaron the call centre manager who was either at best incompetent and at worst a bare faced liar. His colleague at the call centre who assured my parents that she would ring them back - she didn’t- is also a disgrace. To compound their misery, on finally getting home, they received a blunt message from Green Flag saying that the car had to be fixed immediately and if they are called out for the car again, they will be charged. I understand the system but the wording was abysmal. No customer service at all. A disgusting company with disgusting staff working for them. Reviewed on: 17th April 2024
