Review of the Chase Bank, Current account:
View on product page

The most impressive entrant

5
Customer service is excellent! Unlike other mainstream banks, with Chase you do not have to listen to and select a tedious quantity of options before getting connected to a professional. Chase's customer service is hugely efficient and robust. I must say, it is reassuring in an clear and authentic way - it doesn't feel like the person on the other end of the phone hates their job. I am under the impression therefore that they take good care of their employees. The product itself is also outstanding for its class. For those who like interest, the Chase current account smoothly integrates to their savings' products which offer very competitive interest rates - ones which are certainly higher than your old fashioned banks with questionable interest rates. With Chase, your savings account will most likely have your purchasing power surf over hiccups in inflation rates. For the combination of the above alone, I forgive Chase for not having any high-street branches in the UK. Although, I must say that for Chase to take the plunge and opening branches in the UK would be an excellent mov - regardless of what research may show (assuming that that is the reason preventing them from doing so). Regardless, the chase app is very user friendly and sleek - it certainly stands out form the handful of banks which run apps which look like they haven't been re-designed in over a decade. I would also like to mention that, although it's not a significant amount, the 1% cash-back is certainly a nice touch! All of this amazing, particularly when you consider that Chase does not charge a single penny for this account! Chase is already a 10/10 product, but, should they be interested in knowing what I (and perhaps others) like to see, that would defiantly be some form of rewards account, such as a credit card, even if it requires monthly payments, from which you can collect American Express/ Avios style points. I strongly believe that Chase would be excellent at further establishing itself as a premium-accessible bank by negotiating with firms in the UK to provide Chase users with exclusive perks (e.g. discounts at brands popular with clientele). As a relatively young entrant to the UK mass market banking scene, Chase has made an excellent entrance - after which I would certainly not be surprised for Chase to increasingly impress the market.
