Debt free thanks to Stepchange

I'm embarrassed that I got into a crazy amount of debt due to lack of self control, and I was just about managing to stay on top of it but I was paying so much interest, it would've taken many more years to pay off than it did with the help of Stepchange. They didn't judge, they explained my options and I went with a debt management plan. They told me what to expect, wrote to my 12 creditors and they all knew who Stepchange were so it was all very easy. Some creditors even stopped the interest. I made one combined payment to Stepchange, and 3 and a half years later, I'm now debt free. It's very satisfying seeing your accounts close one by one when you finish paying them off, and you can do everything online such as changing account numbers if the debt is passed on. Most people don't like to admit to debt but if anyone I knew were struggling, I'd recommend Stepchange in a heartbeat. Reviewed on: 1st May 2024
