I was so worried about what would happen and how we would navigate out of our debt. Circumstances changed for us and we couldn’t see a way out. We got in touch with step change and I couldn’t believe how amazing they were. They literally went over everything with us and I mean everything-even things I hadn’t taken in to account. They took every single pressure we had away. We didn’t need to get in touch with the creditors. All information was given to step change and they sorted everything out. We chose DM as that what worked for us. However there were more option's available. the first call took a few hours so please make sure you’ve the time before ringing-not before the school run or just about to leave for work. Make sure you’ve got all your debts letters with account numbers and amounts you owe. Once you’ve gone through all of that. That’s it. Step Change literally do everything else for you. Once a year you revise your budget so payments can either go up or down depending on your budget. You can call or look online at things. I honestly couldn’t think of a better company to get in touch with regarding debt and your money struggles. They have been amazing for us for years. Reviewed on: 24th May 2025

We unfortunately had our income reduced which meant we were struggling with our debts. we got in touch with step change and over a course of a few hours everything was set up and running. they literally did all the work for us so we didn’t need to get in touch with any companies. They sorted all the plan out. no one got in touch with us. They only thing we had to do was keep paying stepchange, they distributed the monies out. Once a year we do a review. That’s all. they are so good, they take everything you could possibly need into consideration during your budget, make sure you have enough money for everything you require then what’s left over is paid out.
