Review of the StepChange, Debt advice:

This was literally life and death for me.

I was at a really bad and critical point in my life, where my wages were just covering my debt payments. I wasn't able to feed my family properly,I couldn't clothes my kids, we couldn't have any nice family days together and I could barely afford petrol to get them to school. I turned to Step Change and asked for help, which for me in itself is a massive thing, I hate asking for help.But they were truly amazing! There is no judgement at all. I wasn't embarrassed in the slightest. They went through everything step by step and worked out an affordable repayment scheme and they dealt with all my creditors. From time to time I receive correspondence from the people I am in debt to, and I forward that on to Step Change and they deal with contacting them for me. I honestly could not recommend them any less. They truely have saved my life and I feel good for paying off my debts, one bit at a time. Nearly 2 years in now, a few more to go, but I am more confident in my financial situation then I have ever been. Thank you Reviewed on: 1st May 2024
