Step Change have helped me so much.

It's very stressful having money worries. I couldn't switch off from it and was in a really bad position, despite having a reasonably good income. My debts were crippling me and they were coming down extremely slowly due to the extortionate interest rates and then I started missing payments as the cost of living made it impossible to keep up with everything. I've been on my DMP for one month now and Step Change made the whole process very simple by dealing with my creditors on my behalf and agreeing a reduced monthly payment, based on my available finances.. After still receving threatening letters from some of my creditors, I phoned Step Change for advice and was reassured that there was nothing to worry about. I was told to 'trust the process' and not worry about replying, which was very welcome as I just want to pay my agreed monthly amount and try to get some mental peace from the situation I have stupidly put myself in over a number of years. I'd recommend Step Change to anyone who is burdened by heavy debts with no end in sight. I don't feel alone anymore which in itself is a life saver. Speak with them without fear of being judged.
