In 2018 I was in deep financial trouble.

In 2018 I was in deep financial trouble. I had debts of over £36,000 and saw no way forward. It was suggested through a government web site that I contact Stepchange. I was somewhat sceptical, but I did make contact and it was one of the best things that I have ever done. They were not judgemental and assessed my financial situation and gave me a plan to go forward. 5 years on I still owe £20,000 but the figure is coming down every month, thanks to the affordable payment that I have agreed to make to my creditors. From day one stepchange managed to get the interest charges stopped, dealt with my creditors for me and work out a payment plan every 12 months that was both acceptable to my creditors and affordable to me. I cannot thank stepchange enough. They have allowed me to regain control of my finances and in doing so have given me my self respect back. Thank you stepchange and everyone who works for them.
