From a Poor credit rating to Excellent

I found myself with both a poor credit rating and struggling to improve, even though my credit issues were historical. I then saw an advert from Vanquis which gave me hope. When I replied I was granted a card with small but totally acceptable credit limit, which is just what i wanted, a card to allow me to show my credit worthiness but without a spending limit to plunge me back into debt. I used it for my everyday spending, shopping and fuel but most importantly, I cleared the balance every month. Steadily at first, I saw my credit rating improve, slowly at first but then it just got better and better until I now have an Excellent rating. Vanquis have rewarded my improvement, by offering, NOT forcing increased spending limits, which some times i have agreed to and other times I have not. With their help, I now manage my money far better, they helped where others didn't and I still remain a loyal customer. Reviewed on: 21st May 2026

A complex case made easy by Family

I had a complicated case where my clients needed a Joint Borrower/Sole Proprietor mortgage, however due to the joint borrower being retired, we needed the affordability to be based on the sole proprietor's age. No problem for Family, their whole team, from Stuart my BDM, to Michelle my BDR and Shahul the Underwriter were absolutely amazing. Due to the complexities of the case, I was expecting a very hard journey with no guarantee of an offer at the end of it. However, that amazing team made it as easy as 'a hot knife through butter'.
