Step Change saved my life

When I contacted step change I was embarrassed and broken. Everything initially happened online so I didn't have to speak to anyone. I was depressed and suffering with acute stress and anxiety so conversation was not easy. I didn't need to speak. The online form helped and gave me an understanding of what I needed to do and what my options were. seeing an instant affordable repayment plan gave me hope. When I agreed to the plan a massive weight was lifted. When I did need to speak to a person they were and are so empathic. They are calm and reassuring. They contacted all the banks and took control and agreed on my behalf what was affordable. Step change will never really understand what they have done for me. They have given a reason to continue with life. I still have to pay what I owe (63K) but the interest which was drowning me has stopped. Paying it back is important to me and gives me self worth. I will be debt free in 39 months (initially was 42 but Ive paid 3 instalments. Massive thank you to step change. You are life savers Reviewed on: 9th May 2024
