I had got myself into quite a bit of debt for which...

I had got myself into quite a bit of debt for which I was paying back with extortionate interest rates! I was falling further and further behind with payments, I was losing sleep and making myself sick with worry over it. I saw an advert for StepChange and after a lot of dithering I gave them a call. I am so glad I did, I actually faced up to my problems for the first time and although I was horrified by how much I actually owed, I did feel that it was the first step to getting sorted. The advisor went through all my incoming and outgoing money, suggesting ways to cut back and cancel unnecessary subscriptions etc. After we had all the information we agreed on an affordable amount for me to pay off my debts. I now only have one monthly payment instead of six or seven different payments going out. It has certainly put my mind at ease knowing my debts are being taken care of and I also have a date of woo will be debt free so that’s great to work towards.
