Excellent, supportive bank

I've banked with barclays since the age of 11, so more than 20 years now. Throughout that time, I've had some problems and some really good times, and this bank has supported me and helped wherever possible, regardless of the circumstances. Difficult to leave

I previously used Lloyds as my secondary current account, however I decided to close my account after I decided their product no longer suited me. In order to close the account and retrieve my remaining funds I had to visit the bank itself, where the representative I spoke to really made it hard for me to claim back my money (not sure why it couldn't just be given to me on the spot, it just seemed overly awkward). As this was a few years back I'm hoping their customer service has improved since. Reviewed on: 28th March 2016

Good but slow

I'm currently using Natwest as a second account, the problem with them is that they're so slow in comparison to Barclays (my main account). Transferring money can take up to 24 hours to appear in online banking, and the website doesn't seem as easy to navigate. However, they're pretty good with some of the products they offer, so worth a look. Reviewed on: 28th March 2016

Wonderful team and great cover

I have had life insurance with Aviva for several years now. Their customer service is impeccable - I recently moved house and lost my insurance details, so I contacted them through their website with very few specific details for the account, in the hope that they could amend my address for me, but worrying that they wouldn't be able to find my account as I didn't have the details apart from my personal ones. I got a phone call soon after to say that they had located my account, confirmed a few personal details to confirm my identity and made sure the account details were up to date and that my policy details were posted to me. Good customer service but they're a bit behind in technology

I have a clubcard Credit Card with Tesco. The first thing is that the clubcard rewards points you get with this are great, and the interest is low. The only issue I have with them is that, if you want to lower/increase your credit or make minor changes to your account, you have to call them, there is no option on their website to do this yourself. As their number does charge, I really think they need to do some work on their website to bring it in line with their competitors. Otherwise, excellent card that I'd recommend!
