Good travel account, don't hold lots of money in here!

Good travel account, don't hold lots of money in here! I enjoy using Revolut for my day-to-day finances, but I've heard horror stories (and in one case a few years ago, experienced one!) of Revolut locking your account suddenly and your money being trapped. It's a great travel card and tool for everyday spending (virtual cards are great!) but don't keep all of your money in here! Reviewed on: 25th May 2024

Get the railcard and go!

Get the railcard and go! Whilst the railcard is a good initial incentive, Santander really isn't worth sticking around with - unless you really need the overdraft, I'd suggest grabbing the railcard and then switching to a more ethical provider / one that helps you generate interest on your current account holdings! Great account and provider!

Great account and provider! Nationwide have been brilliant since I switched - it feels nice to be generating interest on my current account, and to hold my money in a more ethical bank! Despite this account being online only, I have had to go in-branch for a few ID verification bits and pieces and branch staff have always been brilliant and so happy to help. Recommend! Easy access, good rates, good experience!

Easy access, good rates, good experience! Have had a really good experience with Zopa's ISAs, allows me to save at good interest rates whilst still having easy access to my money when needed! The pots are great too for organising my finances :) Only downside is that when I switched banks I couldn't access my funds for a day or so whilst it switched - but it all got sorted in the end!
