Difficulty setting up new account

Wanted to set up new account with you filled in required data, nothing heard, ended up emailing and calling a number of times over a few weeks to check on progress. I had set up other online accounts with other banks the same day. On the thrid week with the account now set up I did a test transfer before moving £50k over and the account didn't recognise my bank details to get the money back out, I had to phone again and was told they were set up correctly and Saffron staff could see it but there is a glitch in your system which means I can't see it, therefore I can't tranfer my money back. I was told I have to call each time if I want to move my money again until the system is fixed but there was no idea from your staff when the fix was intended to happen but said it had been like this for some time. I then wanted to add another signatory to the account and was told I couldn't now it was set up it was not possible to do. your staff suggested I close the account and open another new one! It had taken me the best part of a few weeks to set up the first - I wasn't very happy so have yet done this. Reviewed on: 30th May 2024
