West country credit union supporting local communities

West country focused credit union that supports local communities. GWCU provide a simple set of savings and loans. They provide a lot of support to people and help with basic financial knowledge. It is very positive to feel that savings are going directly to people that need loans and could have ended up having to go loan sharks or using expensive credit cards. Reviewed on: 21st March 2026

Triodos offers an easy to use website that allows me to invest ethically. They provide good reports of how they are working in communities and where money is invested. In conjunction with their crowd funding platform you have access to some excellent community level projects which it is a pleasure to learn about and support. Reviewed on: 21st March 2026

Competitive saving rates combined with an organisation that is aiming to support the local community. Good communications which provide an insight to the impact that credit union has. Reviewed on: 18th June 2025
