Wombat out-performs the competition for savings

I have a Stocks and Shares ISA and a GB Bank Base Rate Tracker savings account with Wombat. The ISA offers fractional share trading terms which are by far the cheapest on the market (when combining the platform fee and ability to trade without additional fees). While the share range on offer is a smaller array than other providers, the choices are drawn from a solid base of companies, which is actually reassuring to a relatively new investor in Shares, such as myself. My portfolio has made a 44% return over 2.5 years, which far outstrips other options in which I could have placed my money - and that was achieved even in a very difficult investment market. The Base Rate Savings tracker pays interest on a daily basis: therefore, as this works on a compound basis, the tracker almost manages to keep pace on its return with my longer term savings accounts offering over 6% - AND I have instance access to my cash, should I need it. I have recommended Wombat to friends and family - the company products are excellent. Reviewed on: 23rd January 2024
