I recently made my 2nd claim in 3 years as a happy pet insurance customer. My poor pup bit off more than he could chew quite literally when he stole a raw lamb leg bone from the food waste bin! Long story short, he was very lucky to survive a 4-hour, 3 vet operation to remove the bone from his oesophagus via his stomach! Due to the nature of the op, and having his stomach open for 4 hours he required 6 days veterinary hospital care (huge risk of peritonitis). Obviously the bill was huge and after the stress of his near death experience I was pretty terrified about making a claim. The forms are easy to download and complete, vets completed their section and submitted. There were two separate vets involved (due to the hospital). Insurance Emporium emailed me when each form was received, processed the claims without delay and again emailed me to explain my claim outcome. We had gone over the hospitalisation limit, this was carefully explained. The excess was really reasonable and the payment of monies to my account super quick. I’m so pleased to have found and chosen these guys! I’m now a very loyal customer- I think it helps that they understand genuine claimants and that we’ve probably already been through a hellish time! One very happy customer

After receiving upsetting news from my vet that my dog would have to have a lump removed, I contacted the insurance Emporium initially by phone where the advisor talked me through how to print off a claim form, which I did with ease (and I’m not very technical!) I filled it in and so did the vet and as my dog was recovering I received an email to say that my claim was successful and the payment was in my bank account 4 days later. Real cover you want is lacking

Everyone should read the very small print. £45 max consultation fees doesn't go very far at all. If there is a major issue with your dog the max pay out won;t go that far either, plus the 15% excess on top of the standard excess. This is really just a liability and broken leg cover. Anything else it is not fit for purpose. However claim was dealt with quickly and smoothly so from a service perspective it was good. Reviewed on: 7th July 2020

Claim for vets bill paid promptlyy

Our dog suffered a minor injury which meant she need stitches under sedation. Claim was handled and paid by Insurance Emporium within two weeks. This compares very favorably with a claim that we made against our travel insurance (different company )which is still outstanding after 5 months. Reviewed on: 6th July 2020

Very Quick Efficient Service

You can only judge a service when you actually have to use it. First claim I had to put in on my old cat and it was dealt with very quickly, from some initial advice due to possible high cost for treatment, through to payment . 15% charge on fees wasn't aware of but for the age of my cat it's still a good deal and very helpful staff. Handled my Claim with Friendliness and no Fuss! :-)

I have never had a good experience with an insurance company prior to now, but when I got a new cat I knew I should have insurance. From the initial phone call things were good, they were super friendly and it was like dealing with a small and dedicated family business rather than a faceless company. After my cat became suddenly unwell, I was relieved that she was ok but still worried about how much it had cost me. The whole claims handling process was such a relief and I was overjoyed to recieve a payout as I'd heard so many horror stories from friends about other companies.
