Investment only goes down

Invested a few years ago to benefit from a £40 cash back offer - and have been stuck with a £45-50 for over a year. Can't even withdraw the money to break even. And each time the value starts creeping up they re-view my portfolio, and it immediately drops even further. Maybe if you are planning to invest for 10-50 years then you'll see some returns, but while I made modest profits with other companies over the past two years, Wealthify's products seem to only lose money.
