Easy and life changing

YNAB system makes a lot of sense and allows you to manage your money in a way that makes sense. It doesn’t feel restrictive, just helps you prioritise your life, and makes it so easy to see where your money is going and save! Reviewed on: 28th February 2023

Amazing budgeting helper

Since using YNAB I am much more confident and comfortable with my money. After only 2 months a surprise expense that would have stressed me out before was completely covered and I didn't break a sweat. Love YNAB, I wouldn't use anything else now!

We have used YNAB for nearly 9 years now. It has seen us through job losses, new jobs, the birth of 2 children, 2 car purchases and 2 house moves! In that time we have paid off thousands in debt and started saving. Without YNAB we would still be languishing at the bottom end of our overdraft, struggling to make ends meet. Perfect budgeting app

I am always looking, but nothing comes close to YNAB for seeing where your money goes. Why am I looking? Because YNAB does not support UK banks directly - for this, you also need 'Sync for YNAB' which is an extra subscription. However, Open Banking synchronisation works perfectly, with the added benefit of webhooks for Monzo, so transactions appear instantly in YNAB. Not cheap, and I resent having to pay the same as US customers for much reduced functionality, but Sync for YNAB saves the day - perfect combination. Reviewed on: 21st January 2021

Budgeting tool

Loved this product, but it has a high price point and they have made it clear they won't support UK bank imports any time soon. This makes it quite high maintenance for a high price (about £50!) and they won't give a reduced price to non-US customers. It's a shame because the budgeting features and reporting are great. Allocate every penny

Visibility is the key. Having all your money allocated after a payday means that the decision making of "can I" / "can't I" afford this goes away. Being able to reset the application and try different budgeting categories, more / less granular, was valuable to find the right scope of budgeting for our family. Reviewed on: 1st March 2017

Finally I've got a grip on budgeting and my finances!

I use the main PC YNAB software and have now finally got my finances under control and know where my money disappears to! It's helping (over time) to clear my credit card balances and to also set aside money for defined items (like annual insurance and car maintenance items etc). Easy to use, and powerful too (I'm learning how to do new things with it all the time!}. Reviewed on: 18th January 2017
