Thistle Credit Union is a community owned financial co-operative providing loans and secure savings to people living, working, studying and volunteering across the West of Scotland.

Founded in November 1991 under the name Blantyre Credit Union, They have over 30 years’ experience providing financial services to over 14,000 members across Lanarkshire, Ayrshire, Dumfries and Galloway and Falkirk.

    Me and both my kids use ours for savings

    I use my thistle account for savings. I transfer straight from my personal bank account. If I ever need to withdraw at anytime its back... I use my thistle account for savings. I transfer straight from my personal bank account. If I ever need to withdraw at anytime its back in my personal account within the hour. No hassle. I even have two kids savings accounts which my 12 year old twins have had since nursery. I plan on giving them their accounts when they're of age for driving lessons which will pay for that and their car. I have no problem checking on their accounts and adding funds. Read more Read less
