About Thistle Credit Union

Thistle Credit Union is a community owned financial co-operative providing loans and secure savings to people living, working, studying and volunteering across the West of Scotland.

Founded in November 1991 under the name Blantyre Credit Union, They have over 30 years’ experience providing financial services to over 14,000 members across Lanarkshire, Ayrshire, Dumfries and Galloway and Falkirk.

    I've been a Thistle Credit Union member for nearly 20 years. In that time I've secured a good few loans, for things like a new... I've been a Thistle Credit Union member for nearly 20 years. In that time I've secured a good few loans, for things like a new van, the money goes instantly into your bank, no fuss! Just an allround great institution. There when you need them for advice on any financial situation. It might cost you a few extra quid but it's a great way of saving your own cash whilst borrowing for what you need.
