Kick-started my credit file repair and improvement

I did not need a loan, but needed to re-build my credit reference file. Although I was in an excellent financial position, I could not get even the most basic of credit cards. I took out an Amigo Loan, guaranteed by a friend, paid off the majority of the loan immediately, leaving just three monthly repayments. After the three months, the loan had been fully repaid, but more importantly, Amigo reported this to the credit reference agencies. This gave my file the boost it needed, and I was able to get a credit builder credit card. Since then I have repaired my file, and I know it was enabled by Amigo Loans. This company was able to help me when I could not get help anywhere else - and I was only in debt due to the fraud/criminal behaviour of a third party. Reviewed on: 10th May 2018
