Significant portion of my life savings stuck for years

I put a hefty chunk of my life savings into CapitalRise several years ago after being drawn in by their polished marketing about prime property deals and solid returns. What I got instead is a nightmare that is still ongoing. A significant ratio of the capital I invested has not been repaid. Not a single cent of interest has been received on those long-overdue investments. Multiple projects are years past their expected repayment dates. They have gone into administration. CapitalRise shows no real urgency or motivation to get money back to investors like me. Updates are rare and, when they come, feel like stalling tactics rather than meaningful progress. The platform appears far more interested in looking after borrower relationships than in recovering funds for the people who actually put the capital at risk. I have spent a huge amount of time and emotional energy chasing this. The stress and frustration have been enormous. These are not small sums – this is thousands of pounds of my life savings that were supposed to be working, not locked away indefinitely with no income and no clear exit in sight. I would never invest with CapitalRise again. The glossy presentation mean nothing when your money is stuck for years and the platform does not appear driven to force recoveries. There is a reason CapitalRise do not publish their overall statistics or data, because capital losses are much more common with them than they would have you believe. If you are considering putting serious money here, think very carefully. My experience has been that once things go wrong, you are left carrying the risk and the waiting while CapitalRise staff collects their fees and move onto the next commission-earning deals. Avoid. Fantastic investments with excellent service

I have been an investor with CR for two years and have only had positive experiences. They offer fantastic investment opportunities in high end property, explaining in clear detail the investment opportunity and also the risks involved. The investment process is simple, including the option to hold the investment in an innovative IFISA. Adding and withdrawing money is so swift and simple to do. They regularly offer investor breakfasts, allowing investors the opportunity to meet the team and learn more about CR and their offering. I attended one such and met a great mix of people and found Uma and the team so friendly and approachable. Their Customer Team respond rapidly to any questions investors have.Their customer focus can only be described as razor sharp and I highly commend Uma Raj on putting such a great team in place. Been lending on the CapitalRise platform since inception and have invested in over 50 loans. Zero defaults and every loan has repaid with average interest rate of 9%.
