Not so pleasant experience

* Got lesser amount in the recipient bank (Citibank N.A India) * The assigned support person was not professional: "We cannot support any further" (just with 2 days of 3 or 4 email communications asking for the difference in the amounts) * When asked for the amount difference, I was informed that the recipient bank or some intermediary bank charged for the incoming amount. Citibank N.A clearly states that they do not charge anything for incoming transfers. I'm not sure why intermediary banks need to be involved for such a prominent bank like Citibank N.A. * Though the amount shown in the website was slightly higher than that of other providers, what was finally remitted was almost equal to that of what the other leading providers had promised. * Other leading providers fix the exchange rate. But FreemarketFX does not do that too. So nothing is promised until the transaction is processed by them. Reviewed on: 10th October 2017

Great concept but you won't get true rate

Carried out several transaction when buying a property in Spain but never once achieved the bank rate available thatcyou can see on several other sites. I liked the platform and I'm happy to pay the 0.2 percentage fee but you never get the true bank rate. I wish I could have purchased on the Halifax Clarity card as the rate would have saved me a few thousand on the payment transaction. Does what it should

Good new service making fx easier and cheaper for MEDIUM sized businesses. Definitely not for personal or the eBay dollar crowd which could be made a little clearer I feel. Reviewed on: 24th February 2016
