About this product

GoHenry offer prepaid accounts for children.

There is a fee for using these accounts, you can choose from three GoHenry memberships. Everyday is a debit card and app, Plus includes interest on savings and max is a family plan. Kids can learn through Money Missions in their GoHenry app.

We practice gentle parenting as best we can and our child rarely gets treats, she earns her clothes and any sweets etc for good behaviour and is the most loving kind caring mature and thoughtful person most people have ever met. We’ve never met anyone as giving and considerate as she is, then last October she asked me for a Gohenry card. By Christmas she was the proud owner of a Gohenry personalised ATM card with a fully programmed account including a huge stack of jobs each paying from 8p to £2.50 depending on the task every day of the week. The card is something she has control over, she can login and set up saving goals such as for her mortgage, a car, a mobile phone and of course the obligatory puppy dog which she’s making worryingly fantastic headway on! Woof! Some of the girls in her class also have the card and it’s created a nice little banking bond in the group, they all feel very grown up. I’m proud of her approach to using her gohenry card and understanding how to use it and to learn value and worth of a thing, which most teenagers haven’t quite grasped let alone a six year old! When asked, do you not want to set up an LOL doll savings account as well as a mortgage account? She gracefully replied in a soft voice, ‘no mummy, that’s what nanny’s and granddad’s are for...’ ☺️ Reviewed on: 5th February 2020
