With Lightyear, you deposit money in Vaults. You can invest as little as £1 and there is no maximum limit. You can manage the account through the website or via the app.

Great app missing a few features

To be clear, this is a great app from a great team, and if you are on the fence, you should pick Lightyear. However, there are two things that you should know, and I have never received a definitive answer from the team. Firstly, there is no DRIP feature which is super annoying. Secondly, they don't appear to have any kind of development roadmap, so you never know what features they're working on. To be clear, these are annoying downsides, but the app works flawlessly, looks amazing, and the team responds via email extremely quickly and is incredibly courteous and helpful. Simply the best

Very easy to use and really helpful

This is my first time investing in the stock markets . Have no background in finance. The Lightyear app is very easy to use and I can invest small amounts every week without all the costs that other apps charge.I can watch my investments grow and drop (unfortunately) just buy opening the app .I have needed help twice and have sent an email and they have replied the same day Reviewed on: 15th March 2023

A breath of fresh air

Having investment funds in different countries always involves compromises (high fees, slow, poor service, insufficient information) - Not with Lightyear - service was excellent (they helped me immediately with a problem verifying my bank), they sent me information about my voting rights at AGs (first time ever), very low fees, exact exchange rates and honestly pass on interest rates for cash on accounts. I only wish their maximum account insurance guarantee were higher so I could move all of my investments to Lightyear. Reviewed on: 15th March 2023

Very good but

Only problem is you can't buy fractional shares on the European market and you can't buy fractional ETF, like you can with Trading 212 Reviewed on: 15th March 2023

First time

After hearing about Lightyear on a podcast I gave it a go . I was a bit nervous in the beginning , but grew in confidence and that was helped by contacting Lightyear and getting a response straight away . Really easy to use app, great customer service , low cost , and love the part invest into shares I don’t have to have the full amount for one share . Reviewed on: 15th March 2023
