Mojo has little control on lenders, time to closure too long

It took 2 months since I applied for mortgage for the bank to engage a surveyor, I eventually withdrew my application. During these 2 months I was able to get 2 other mortgages on 2 properties. I still get an email from mojo saying its normal in this stage of application for more docs to be requested. I send photocopy of my passport, 2 weeks later I am told they need passport to be authorised in postoffice. I would have expected mojo to know the lenders requirement, similarly I would have expected lender to check the docs on day 1 and come back with their list. once every week I get a request for a new doc.
