Avoid !!!!!!!

1
Avoid at all costs. got a car through these people, car wasn't drivable after 7 weeks of use. After 3 months they finally decided to get the car collected. I'm still awaiting my money back from them. I'm disabled and have no means of getting out now, I still had to pay while the car was sitting on my drive. Can't get a reply or a proper answer from them. I have had to go to the ombudsman to sort this mess out they take so long to reply to your email. They treat a ongoing complaint the same as a new. Not good business Reviewed on: 6th November 2023

AVOID

1
Awful company, i don't have an account with them but a previous tenant does. They left my address nearly a year ago and i am still receiving letters in the post from them. these have been sent direct back to them stating NOT AT THIS ADDRESS but i am constantly receiving letters from them and have even had bailiffs turn up at my door looking for the car/money as it has become apparent the account holder has stopped paying. i have repeatedly rang them to try and get this stopped, told them they have left the address, where they are now, where they work ect. I was advised every time i call someone from the recovery team will contact me.. guess what THEY NEVER DO!! They refuse to remove my address from his account as i am not the account holder and they need them to authorise to change. errr WHAT it is your company you can change the address! i have told them the stress it is causing me with the bailiffs turning up but they don't care and will carry on sending them until they get what is owed!!! they have now been reported to trading standards as i physically don't know what to do now and they are not interested. Incompetence affects your credit score

1
I changed jobs a few months after taking out my loan, the date my salary was paid in is 8 days after the installment date because I had to cancel my Direct Debit and was paid 8 days later they then notify the credit referencing agencies you have defaulted/missed a payment meaning your score will go down. I called moneybarn and had to wait over half an hour to get through to them to explain and request a change of payment date. They told me the credit referencing details have to stay so each month Moneybarn are damaging my credit score. This has gone on for months. I can't change my direct debit date so it's just a vicious circle. The customer service are diabolical as well as the Email wait time which takes weeks for a reply and if you have to email back a response again it takes weeks. I have made a complaint but still, there has been no reply...... Reviewed on: 1st November 2023

Shocking GUYS BE CAREFUL I bet you didn't know this.

1
If you write off your car and give them the money back for what you bought if for, they will still hold you liable for the interest. How can someone pay for something they don't have. So if I Ioan you money for a car but you have a unfortunate event out of your control takes place, making the car no more usable and not because of something you have done, But you pay me everything that you bought it for less the interest how can I expect you to still pay the interest when no one has mad a loss, and I only had the car for 5 months and only put 4000mls on it. If I knew this about them I would never have used them, this is the first time in my life I'm left paying interest on something I don't have and or had a unfortunate event leaving me to still pay the interest. this is even when they got paid back what you loaned. But eventually we all get our day and they will certainly get there's. Guys be careful think twice when signing with these guys Reviewed on: 27th October 2023

an utter disgrace of a company

1
currently in dispute with Moneybarn over my agreement 923923, which they mysteriously cannot access when i ask for a settlement figure. have been promised multiple callbacks and resolutions within 48 hours over the past 6 weeks but as a company they seem insistent on refusing to allow me to settle early to continue reaping interest on an agreement i want to clear off. utterly reprehensible company i would advise anyone looking to finance a car to avoid like the plague Reviewed on: 13th September 2023

Money Barn are the biggest scam in the Car Finance Market

1
Please please please try anything else before turning to these guys. They will seem very friendly at the beginning until you actually uncover the truth. they charge over double of the value of the car and the second you have missed 1 payment they will take the car off you without even telling you. Then it takes over an hour to get hold of anyone. If you manage to get your car back they will stick some inflated recovery cost on top of your payments. SHARKS !!! the financial ombudsman have received so many complaints about them . Miss selling car finance, outrageous APR's and sorry to be blunt MORRONS as staff who just dont know the difference between their head or their back side. If you are with them Good luck, if you are not stay away and thank your gods Reviewed on: 19th July 2023
