best things I have purchased since the turn of the century..

This product is one of the best things I have purchased since the turn of the century. And I buy a LOT. So, just how good is it? I can disable internet shopping while my kids are still browsing! Now that's quick. I can re-enable internet shopping just as quick. I can pay, schedule and adjust all pocket money. Contactless payments are fully functional! And you guessed it I can disable them if I like. Instead why not just limit the transactions. Using a cash point machine for my youngest was a hoot. Not as funny as the look on the face of the waiter when my 7 year old daughter paid the restaurant bill at a family party because all the adults 'pretended' to forget their wallets! Uhmm maybe I'll adjust her pocket money back. It's amazing and appears as safe as my bank. Reviewed on: 21st January 2021

Having previously used cards with different banks and had a frustrating time of it, I stumbled across nimbl while using Parentpay. We signed our girls up and it’s had a positive affect on both of them, in terms of their relationship with money. Our oldest daughter, loves money, and especially spending it. Obviously now she could see what she was spending (so could we) and it learned her a lot about the actual value of money. It enabled her to plan and then save. She still likes spending, but nimbl got her started on the right path. Our other daughter is autistic and her anxiety around money came from a whole different angle. She at 15 was unable to go shopping alone and couldn’t pay for anything. She found money, it’s value and which coin or note to use so hard to work out, she avoided it. Then we set her up with nimbl and because we could see her details and money and she knew that, it gave her confidence. It took away the anxiety of what money to give them when paying as she just used her card. Once she got over the anxiety of the card not working and we showed her how to check her balance......wow! She now has saved quite a lot of money, is able to go shopping and then pay for items without me stood by her side and she has even ordered online; having items delivered to her home. It’s the confidence the nimbl has given her that’s the main thing and now at 16 she actually helps her older sister transfer money and keep a track of her money. Nimbl is so easy to use and it’s transparency for parents is great, enabling us to guide them in managing their money well, a great tool for kids. Real time accounting for kids - reassuring!

In addition to ensuring there is regular pocket money etc It is great for topping up when they don't have their bus ticket or keeping track of just how much spending is on junk food. My daughter gets independence to spend and save and I get reassurance. It is helpful that she can control saving too and she has a better understanding of the value of money watching balances increase and decrease. Reviewed on: 21st January 2021
