Applied for mortgage in first week of July It is now coming up to mid-December, and don't even have an offer. "Two day turnaround" for reviewing documents is actually 4 days, before you can escalate the case. Note that escalation can take "one day" (three) to return to you. Reasons for delay vary from an incorrect valuation (said the property was underpinned, 1 month and several fees later showed it wasn't) and documentation they should have requested at application stage being ...
