Your company is beyond outdated. How is it that from 2019-2024 we were never able to check our motgage balance online? Dealing with your company was like dealing with a company in the 1950s. You are so hopelessly outdated that, while we might have considered refinancing our house with another mortgage, we decided to pay it off so we wouldn't have to deal with you anymore. And then when we finally did pay off the mortgage, it took NBS more than 2 weeks to confirm the payoff. Ridiculous. Hopelessly out of step. Terrible service. Reviewed on: 21st June 2024
Reply from Newbury Building Society Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry for your experience. It does take a couple of weeks for the mortgage repayment process to complete from receiving your funds to notifying Land Registry that we no longer have an interest in your property. However, you should have received confirmation from us when we received your mortgage funds and we are sorry this did not happen. As you mention borrowers can now see their mortgage balance online through our Mobile App; introduced due to customer feedback in the last couple of years, and this functionality becoming available to us from our IT provider.
