Review of the Are You Owed Money, Debt Collection:

DO NOT USE - Small claims court against this company

AYOM collected all monies owed to me from the debtor but refuses to pay me out. They collected in full in January 2024 and I'm still waiting to be paid anything. They've even gone as far as GDPR removing the debtors information from the portal and considering my case complete... How is this possible if I haven't received a penny? We are in the process of filing small claims court against this company and have reported to Action Fraud. Reviewed on: 15th October 2024

Reply from Are You Owed Money We recently received a review from you on Google under the name James King. We are unable to find a client on our system of the name James King. We did also ask on Google for you to get in touch so we could verify you as a user and if so, assist but we have yet to receive any correspondence to the email account requested. As per our previous response on Google: Hi James. We have an article here on why we incorporate a holding period once retrieving any money from your debtor (https://www.areyouowedmoney.co.uk/ayom-blog/post/chargebacks-holding-period.php). Whenever we receive payment, to avoid charge backs from the debtor's bank we wait until it is impossible for them to claw the money back. This timespan varies depending on the method of payment and isn't the same timescale for every payment type.
