My experience with Zopa Bank has been extremely disappointing and stressful. I financed a car through a hire purchase agreement, expecting reliable service and support. However, when the car developed a major fault within a few months, Zopa failed to take responsibility or provide adequate assistance. Despite clear evidence that the car was not of satisfactory quality at the time of purchase, Zopa dismissed my complaints and declined to resolve the issue. Instead of addressing the problem, they focused on technicalities, such as disputing whether I was authorized to have the car inspected. This lack of accountability and customer support was incredibly frustrating. Adding to the stress, Zopa reported missed payments to my credit file while I awaited a decision, severely impacting my credit score. Their approach caused unnecessary hardship during an already difficult time. It was not until the Financial Ombudsman Service intervened that Zopa was forced to take appropriate action, including refunding my payments and resolving the matter with the faulty car. This case highlights Zopa reluctance to act fairly without external pressure. I strongly advise anyone considering Zopa Bank for financial products to think twice.
