Great app to encourage saving

Great to have this as an app for ease of use, parents can see what their child is doing and it has lots of great teaching for kids as well as parents to learn about saving money, however I say this a little tongue in cheek because you do have to pay monthly to have this and therefore this is the downside to having and you have to be mindful not to be charged for other additional fees for example needing to top up more than a set amount of times per month. I find that due this potential charge I keep the top up regular amount quite high to avoid this charge so it feels like I am tied in to this amount and although I do have the flexibility to alter this it’s another financial admin task I don’t have time for. I also have found that after the initial interest from my child to engage with the learning, he no longer bothers with this to earn extra cash as the novelty has worn off. However despite this my child continues to save and he does move money around and have the occasional spend which is good that I can see what he is doing. Reviewed on: 18th January 2025
