An easy ride for a first-time investor

As a first-time investor, having recently inherited some money following my mother's death, I was a bit clueless about how to find the best interest rates before seeing Raisin recommended in a Sunday newspaper, and was relieved to find how easy it was to register online and pick from the variety of investment opportunities on offer.
