Review of the Barclaycard, Platinum credit cards:

Not the most competitive

Initial use was good. Competitive rates for balance transfers and purchases. The app changed from being separate to joining the Barclays app. Features on the app are good and seamless. After some years no longer became competitive and my limit was reduced without any prior discussion, just an email was sent. Reviewed on: 23rd January 2026

Good rates.

Good rates. Easy to check balances and statements, make payments. They have some good cash back offers. It is not very easy to change the type to card you have once offers have expired, I have had a credit card with them for a while and they don’t really offer much until you get a new card with someone else. Looks great, works better.

The app looks great and is laid out well being able to order and hide accounts in whichever way you prefer. Checking statements and other information through the app works seamlessly also. Never had any issues transferring or sending money and Barclays are great at letting you know if and when there will be maintenance on the app well in advance. Love the additional features also!!
