Switched my Stocks & Shares ISA from costly competitor

I was unhappy with my previous Stocks and Shares ISA provider, which charged me £7.50 for every single transaction, as well as levying expensive ongoing service fees. Because I was fed up of seeing money pour out of my account and into a dark hole, I shopped around, found the Martins Money guide online, and saw that InvestEngine had no platform fees at all- I was sceptical at first, but read an article which explained that InvestEngine generates revenue in other ways, and realised that for what I was looking for, it really would be free. As such, I switched my ISA across to InvestEngine and honestly it was a lot less faff than I’d expected! Be aware that the switch does take a few weeks to complete, however I would say that Investengine comms managed my expectations well. In terms of using the platform, I have a full time job, so don’t have time to carefully handpick single stocks. Fortunately, InvestEngine’s easy-to-navigate interface and wide selection of ETFs is more than sufficient to enable me to create a diversified portfolio that does the job. I’ve also had to ask a couple of questions regarding compliance protocols with work, and Investengine responses have been to the point, resolving any queries quickly. I’ve been so impressed by the overall experience that I’ve made use of the referral bonus and got my whole family to switch, helping them to save hundreds of pounds in annual platform fees!
