Review of the Monzo, Current account:

Easy Peasy...

I had a Monzo prepaid card which was amazingly easy to set up, when they started offering bank accounts I thought ‘why not?’ transfer from one type of account to the other was simple, simple enough that when one of my colleagues (an older lady who’s bought her first smart phone last year!) wanted a bank account that she could use abroad without worrying; I suggested she join Monzo. She’s now considering using it as her main account as she loves the fact that you have instant notifications and the app is really easy to understand, that more than anything to me is proof of how easy to use and understand Monzo bank is. The Monzo community are also really involved in the effort to make the bank better, we are asked our opinions before major rollouts, we have the opportunity to beta test new things and our thoughts are listened to and most importantly respected, the legacy bank that I came from despite selling itself as the ‘listening’ bank never really listened to anything that was suggested and it still trails behind Monzo for things like pending payments, stopping your card through the app etc. On the whole, I’m pleased I made the move as everything is just that little but more coral for me now Reviewed on: 29th January 2019
