Beyond the usual box ticking the best of British!

Darlington provided a mortgage when I and my income didn't 'tick the box' saving a much loved home, with understanding, competent customer service. They are also a genuine building society rooted in their local community. Reviewed on: 29th January 2026

Out of the ordinary mortgages & customer service

We went with Darlington because they were recommended by our broker for providing 'out of the ordinary' mortgages - which suited us! They have since provided not only a good product but excellent customer service with very helpful people to answer and queries we have had. Reviewed on: 7th April 2025
