Review of the Starling Bank, Current account:

Easy to use and switch to

I wanted a current account that worked better with my lifestyle and my old legacy bank wasn't doing that or keeping up, so I switched to Starling. I was concerned that swapping current accounts would be difficult but the Current Account Switch scheme was so easy that I needn't have worried, especially as Starling kept me up-to-date throughout. I love the look and feel of the app, and my favourite part is the goals section, where I can portion off cash in my account so that it can't be spent as part of my normal use, unless I transfer it back, like a kitty. It makes it much easier saving for things like emergency vet bills, my next holiday etc. I also really like the personalisation available within the app, e.g how I can sign nicknames and pictures to my saved payees. I was worried depositing cash would be a struggle without physical branches but it couldn't be easier - I can go to any Post Office to do it, and there are more Post Offices than my old legacy bank had branches, which always had long queues.
