Review of the Starling Bank, Current account:

Brilliant online-only account

I recently switched to Starling as I was working overseas for six months, and I feel like it's the best decision I've ever made! It's fast and easy to open an account with Starling, the app is very simple to use but gives you a lot of options and freedom with your money. There are no fees when you use your card overseas for transactions or to withdraw cash, and I love that I get instant updates on the app when money leaves my account. I can now use 'Goals' to set up mini savings accounts so that I can easily save up my money, and know exactly how much I have, without having to move money around between accounts, and no risk of accidentally spending my savings. With their new card I can even pay in cash at my local Post Office branch, and the Starling team are there 24/7 to help me with any issues that I have, even when I was in another country they did all they could to help me out! I can easily transfer money on the app, and can lock my card too if it goes missing, no fuss, no hassle. Who says you need high-street branches to be a good bank? Not me.
