So so helpful.

Before I entered a debt management plan, I was drowning in interest rates very stressed out about my future. I found it so hard to stay on top of my debts and had no spare money at all each month. I live in London and cost of living is high, I had a few emergencies which meant getting a loan and using some credit cards. Step change helped me navigate the whole process, and though my credit score has plummeted, for now that is fine as I'm lucky enough to own property. In one year, I've been able to pay off £4k and I feel so much more positive about my future. I look forward to a debt free 2029. Although the debt still feels very present, I am able to tackle it but by bit and can see the total reducing which is so motivating. The debts don't overwhelm me anymore and I feel much more positive. Reviewed on: 23rd May 2025
