Great account, transparent fees, innovative app

Monzo have iteratively developed an innovative companion app for their current account, which makes banking easier than with any of their cometitors. They’re relentlessly customer focused, and constantly trying to improve on their offering, and have set a new benchmark for the industry. Account opening can be done in a matter of minutes - including ID&V checks on device - in co trust to some of their competitors, who take 8-10 days and require Proof of identification to be given in branch. The fees they charge for running the account - including overdrafts, ATM withdrawals abroad, and foreign-currency transactions are completely transparent. Reviewed on: 21st February 2019
