They help but U still take to Ur creditors

They are helping me but more often than enough I am still required to call debtors up and speak to them directly if there’s a problem. At times I wonder why we need a debt management agency. I had hope that I could speak directly your step change and they’d be the ones to speak to my creditors. However this isn’t the case - all they do is make the offer of payments and make the payments. I wasn’t told that one of my creditors had refused a payment plan and ended up overwhelmed and crying numerous times. I’m now resolved that if there’s a problem either me or my daughter has to call the credit card company and then call step change and sometimes even go back and to between them. This is why I wonder why we need to have them involved but it seems to give the credit card company some sort of reassurance and that allows me to just have one payment taken and shared between 3 so it’s easier .
