Don’t bury your head in the sand. Speak to Stepchange.

For numerous reasons, I found myself in a lot of financial trouble and had a lot of institutions continually making contact quite rightly attempting recompense. The problem was that due to my circumstances at that time I had no way of meeting my obligations and the continual contact added to my already stressful situation. A friend recommended Stepchange and told me how they’d helped him in the past so I gave it a go. Truely glad I did. They helped organise a payment plan that was affordable, the phone calls and letters stopped and I’m currently in a position where two thirds of my debts are paid off and I can see light at the end of the tunnel. If I’d have continued burying my head in the sand and not reached out to Stepchange, I dread to think what would’ve happened. Whatever your circumstances, they can help. Reviewed on: 23rd May 2025
