They absolutely changed my life

Before I was told about step change or CCCS as it was, I was absolutely terrified of letters, phone calls or even a knock on the door. My neighbour told me about CCCS. They were absolutely brilliant, there was no judgement, just someone who was there to help. I cannot thank them enough,. Without sounding over dramatic, they do actually save lives. Once you hit rock bottom, you need someone to get you out and they do it without questions. Reviewed on: 9th May 2026

I had over £40,000 of debt from loans and credit cards.

I had over £40,000 of debt from loans and credit cards. The money was used for bills and paying my mortgage having been made redundant several times in a short period. Without step change I think we would have lost our house and probably ended up divorced. My wife had no idea of the situation I had put us in. I can’t thank them enough for there help and compassion.
