Large debts

Bailing out my son from his debts let my wife and I deep in debt ourselves and having to sell our house and downsize. StepChange helped me set up a manageable monthly repayment scheme. I have been able to amend my monthly payments as my circumstances have changed and am now just a year away from clearing what were substantial debts ..It's important that you understand how things work and that you keep in touch with StepChange.
