Having spiralled out of control due to severe mental...

Having spiralled out of control due to severe mental health, I found myself in a deep dark hole. When I contacted StepChange the people I spoke to showed such an understanding of my situation. They were not judgemental and treated me with respect and compassion. I honestly don’t know what would have happened if I had remained in that pit of misery. Having them help me meant that I had a fresh start to concentrate on moving forwards in trying to get help with my illness. Please please contact Stepchange if you are struggling with debt. I was in such crisis concerning my mental health that I had become out of control with my spending. I had serious diminished responsibility but hadn’t recognised it until it was too late to reverse the damage caused. Thankfully I found Stepchange who were so humane and kind.
