I have used PayPal credit for years now with little to no issues. I would say they could do more to help control spending rather than offer so much credit with not much warning on the dangers of debt for someone like myself with low impulse control. But this is more of an issue with credit lenders on the whole rather than PayPal specifically. Maybe they could introduce some smarter ways of informing users of what they are spending and where, and helping them stay on track to repay in full each month. Reviewed on: 6th July 2026
